In her statement, Ntombela maintains that despite many challenges faced by the province, quality education remains top priority in the Free State and will continue to be for many years to come. She said that the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations are a gateway towards a more important academic landscape on a tertiary level, which will inevitably determine the future of all matriculants.

“The message is clear and consistent: Remain focussed, make time to study, and all will fall into place,” she said.

Ntombela further sent messages of gratitude to the School Governing Bodies (SGBs), school management teams, including all school principals and teachers, for their dedication to the future of learners.  She also wished well all matriculants on their final NSC examinations.
