Winds destroy FS electricity infrastructure─── 09:43 Wed, 10 Nov 2021

Aside from nation-wide load-shedding, Maluti-A-Phofung residents in Qwaqwa in the Free State, in particular, are left in the dark, following strong winds.
Areas including Mandela Park, Slovo Park, Harankopane, Makwane, Tseseng, and Lusaka have been without electricity since Saturday.
OFM News' Tumelo Khotha reports many residents and business people say they have lost food due to spoilage, and income.
This is happening while the country is already experiencing serious challenges due to ongoing load-shedding.
The municipal spokesperson, Thabo Kessah, says the area experienced damage to electricity infrastructure following strong winds and torrential rains last week Thursday and Friday. He says repairs are already underway, and apologises to the residents of this already-struggling municipality for the inconvenience caused.
