Rock slide traps two in NC mine─── 05:49 Fri, 12 Nov 2021
A major incident occurred at a Northern Cape mine just after 05:00 on Friday morning.
OFM News has received information that a rock slide occurred at the Swartberg Level 632 Blasthole, at the Black Mountain Mine, leaving two employees trapped.
One person sustained leg injuries and is receiving medical attention. The second person is still trapped and the mine rescue services team is on-site to assist with rescue operations.
Meanwhile, the Department of Mineral Resources Office was informed, and further details will be communicated when available.
