Five suspects between the ages of 17 and 34 years face charges of possession and dealing in drugs in Vredefort in the Free State.
Bloemfontein Courant reports that, according to Sergeant Josephine Rani, it is alleged that on Monday 15 November, at about 05:30, task team members received information about the suspected dealing of drugs and dagga at houses in the Vredefort area. “Upon arrival at the identified houses, police members arrested five suspects – three females and two males,” she said.
Rani added that the members had confiscated three halves of Mandrax tablets, 30 wrapped plastic sachets of nyaope, seven small plastic sachets of crystal meth, 58 plastic sachets of dagga and some cash.
The five suspects will appear before the Vredefort Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 16 November.
