The weather service warns that large amounts of small hail may occur and cause damage to property and adds that localised flooding may occur. The warning has been issued for towns such as De Aar, Kimberley, and Hopetown in the Northern Cape, as well as towns such as Wepener, Fauresmith, and Brandfort in the Free State.

Furthermore, along with this, a warning of high fire danger conditions for Kathu, Kuruman, and Hotazel has been issued. These conditions can lead to fires developing and spreading rapidly, which may cause damage to property and a possible loss of animal and/or human life.
