A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Bloemfontein woman earlier this week.
The investigating officer, Lebohang Marema, has confirmed the arrest to OFM News. Meanwhile OFM News is still waiting for further information from police spokesperson, Thabo Covane.
OFM News previously reported the husband of the 69-year-old victim says he left their home to go to a local pharmacy on Tuesday. Upon his arrival back home he found his wife lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit and her hands tied behind her back. Police Spokesperson for the province, Thabo Covane says the husband reported that he allegedly left his wife alone with their newly appointed gardener.
He ran around looking for the gardener - but he was nowhere to be found. The incident took place in broad daylight on Tuesday (23 November 2021).
