Another victim of a cop shooting in Springbok in the Northern Cape has passed away.
A 24-year-old man who earlier suffered critical injuries after being shot in the head by a police officer is reported to have died in hospital. Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) spokesperson, Grace Langa, confirms the victim in the Springbok shooting passed away on Friday afternoon.
She says the IPID will establish when and where the post mortem will be conducted. OFM News previously reported that, according to information, the 39-year-old sergeant shot his 32-year-old wife, killing her, also shot the 24-year-old deceased man and later turned the gun on himself.

The police officer central to both murders, belonged to Springbok’s public order policing division.
OFM News previously reported that the details of this particular incident are that the police officer’s wife was shot in her right shoulder, hip and underneath her right arm. She was declared dead at the scene.
Her report indicated that the 24-year-old man was shot in the head and was sent Springbok hospital for medical attention. The sergeant fled the scene and was later found dead in his car which was parked in Carolusberg Road. It’s believed he committed suicide there, sustaining a gunshot wound under his chin. In the sergeant’s car, police found his wife’s cellphone.
