Elderly murder suspect arrested in Hennenman─── 15:35 Tue, 14 Dec 2021
The estranged wife of a well-known advocate, Andre van den Heever – aged 64 - who allegedly shot and killed him in his office, has been arrested.
This, after the Welkom police launched a manhunt for Linda van den Heever, aged 62, following the incident at occurred at about 07:45 this morning.
The police’s Steven Thakeng says it’s reported an argument led to the fatal shooting.
The victim died at the scene.
Van den Heever was arrested this afternoon in Henneman.
Police found in her possession a handgun, suspected to have been used in the fatal shooting.
The white Volkswagen Polo Vivo she was travelling with was handed over to her family.
