This past Saturday (December 18, 2021) Mpopo Mafuso (20) was found dead with several stab wounds next to the gate of his residence, with his cell phone and shoes missing.

Police spokesperson, Phumelelo Dhlamini, says it is alleged that he was walking from work at the local tavern when he was stabbed.

The next morning five suspects, all eighteen years old, were arrested after the police managed to link them to the murder.

The suspects were found in possession of 14 stolen cellphones robbed from different victims on Saturday night.

"Police request that anyone who was recently robbed of a cellphone in Meqheleng to urgently call Ficksburg Detectives at 082 5543428 and come with necessary documents to help identify their cellphones," says Dhlamini.
