This comes as the Fika Patso Dam is experiencing high turbidity due to continuous rainfall.

Areas affected include Tseseng and Mandela Park.

The spokesperson for Maluti-A-Phofung Water, Tebogo Kwakwa, explains that there's a method that could be used by the residents to make the water drinkable.

She advises residents must wait for the water to settle down then filter it with a white cloth.

Once it is filtered, then residents should boil the water and use it when it cools down.

She apologized for any inconvenience caused.
