Motorists warned of travel delay on R31 road─── BLAINE JONES 12:30 Thu, 23 Dec 2021
A statement has been issued informing all road users that there is a continuation of roadworks and maintenance on the R31 road in the vicinity of the Wildebeeskuil pan outside Kimberley in the Northern Cape.
The spokesperson for the Department of Roads and Public Works, Crystal Robertson, says there are stop-and-go traffic control systems in place which will cause an estimated 10 to 15 minutes delay from today, 23 December 2021, until further notice.
Only one lane will be operating on this section of the road.
The Department requests road users to be patient and to cooperate with the safety officers on site.
The recent rainfall aggravated the occurrence of potholes on this particular section of the road.
