Three people die in N1 accident near Ventersburg─── 09:50 Fri, 07 Jan 2022
A fatal road accident on the N1 claimed three lives while two children with serious injuries had to be rushed to hospital.
This gruesome accident happened Thursday 6 January 2022 when a truck collided with a sedan vehicle on the N1 road next to the Aldam Holiday Resort near Ventersburg.
It is alleged the accident happened at about 15:00. The road had to be closed after the accident and motorists were requested to use alternative routes.
Police spokesperson, Stephen Thakeng, said the three adult occupants were certified dead on the scene and the jaws of life had to be used to remove two children from the damaged sedan.
A case of culpable homicide has been registered for further investigation.
