Four found with illegal plants due in court─── BLAINE JONES 08:17 Sat, 15 Jan 2022

The case against four suspects caught in possession of endangered plants in Pofadder is due to commence in the Local Magistrate’s Court soon.
Northern Cape Police spokesperson, Sergio Kock, says their appearance follows an incident where police found the suspects with 1596 Conophytum Fredecia plants.
The plants are protected under the Nature Conservation Act and has an approximate street value of about R110 000.
Police pounced on the four men after following up on information about a suspicious looking vehicle traveling outside Pofadder.
Police also confiscated their Toyota bakkie as it was supposedly utilised in the commission of the crime.
The investigation continues.
