Trouble pumping water in FS─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 08:20 Sat, 29 Jan 2022
The troubled Matjhabeng Local Municipality, which owes more than R4.4 billion to the bulk water supplier Sedibeng Water, will not receive water as usual until early next week.
Sedibeng Water’s Acting Chief Executive, Toto Molobye, explained that residents in Thabong and Kutlwanong will not receive water between 23:00 and 05:00.
The reason for the water restriction is for the water board to be able to pump enough water during the night, in order for residents of the area to receive sufficient water during the day.
The issue will continue until reservoir levels have normalised.
