Accused SABC intruder still admitted─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 15:23 Tue, 01 Feb 2022
The case against the accused SABC intruder has been postponed again in his absence, as he is currently still being observed in hospital.
The suspect will appear before the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on 8 February, however, the outcome of the day depends on whether the suspect will be discharged or not. Should he still be in hospital, the case will be postponed once again. The suspect faces charges of business burglary, trespassing, and malicious damage to property, as he is accused of breaking into the SABC premises. It is alleged he was shot and injured during the scuffle with security officers.
It is alleged on 16 January one of the security officers that were on duty saw the suspect on a security camera. It is further alleged security officers went to investigate the apparent security breach and were allegedly attacked by the suspect, which led to his injury.
