Mohokare meets with Centlec over alleged poor service delivery─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 07:16 Fri, 04 Feb 2022
The Zastron-based Mohokare Local Municipality in the Free State is set to meet with Centlec's board this morning over allegations of poor service delivery due to dilapidated infrastructure.
OFM News previously reported that the municipality had accused Centlec of not having permanent solutions to the ongoing power failures in Zastron due to faulty cables.
Centlec's spokesperson, Lele Mamatu, said that the statement was unfortunate and they will follow the right processes to meet and engage with officials of the municipality to discuss the issues at hand.
"We are confident that once we are able to meet with the Municipal Manager, we will be able to find each other and ensure that sustainable solutions to the challenges of service delivery, as expressed by the public statement of the Mayor, are found and resolved," said Mamatu.
Meanwhile, the municipality's spokesperson, Lehlonolo Mafatman, said that they will meet with Centlec today to iron out issues surrounding this matter.
He said that he is hoping that the two parties will play their part and make sure that Zastron residents receive better services.
