Load-shedding leads to water cuts in the FS─── 16:08 Fri, 04 Feb 2022
Due to the current implementation of load-shedding in the country, water cuts are expected for residents of Meqheleng and Ficksburg in the Free State.
The Setsoto Local Municipality will also implement valve management, effective immediately. This is according to the municipal communication unit.
It therefore means water supply will be turned off from 20:00 until 05:00 daily for the duration of load-shedding.
"This measure is implemented mainly to ensure reservoirs maintain healthy water levels while we experience power cuts due to load-shedding," the communication unit added.
The municipality apologised for any inconvenience that might be caused by the situation.
