This is according to the Setsoto Communications Office, that said the main cause is an electric fault at the Cyferfontein line.

The office further mentioned that there will be water disruptions as the municipality cannot pump water due to this electrical fault.

However, the municipal officials have been on the site since Monday, attending to the situation. Unfortunately, they are still busy trying to resolve the issue. 

The current situation has affected the power supply to the town of Senekal and the levels of water reservoirs.

It is expected that once the problem has been solved, water will be pumped to the reservoirs and the situation will return to normal.
