NW school destroyed in fire─── 12:09 Mon, 14 Feb 2022

Police in North West are investigating a fire that destroyed a primary school over the weekend.
It's believed that Ramotse Primary School, near Rustenburg, burned down late on Saturday evening.
While the cause has yet to be determined, the schooling community has already pointed the finger at criminal elements within Luka Village.
Bathrooms and several classrooms were gutted, including the school's Information Technology (IT) hub.
It is unclear how learning would commence Monday morning, especially since schools have now resumed teaching at full capacity.
Education Department Spokesperson, Elias Malindi, has told OFM News that "MEC for Education, Mmaphefo Matsemela, condemns in the strongest terms the alleged burning of Ramotse Primary School.”
She added that “such incidents are clearly targeted at delaying the provisioning of education to an African child.”
“We want law enforcers to find those responsible and send them to jail where they belong" she concluded.
