Service delivery concerns FS municipality─── 15:37 Fri, 18 Feb 2022
The Maluti-a-Phofung (MAP) local municipality in the Free State is concerned about service delivery.
To this end, the Extended Mayoral Committee met to discuss challenges such as delays in service delivery, water issues, electricity cut-offs, sewer spillages, and illegal electrical connections, among others.
Tseko Mothamaha, the municipal manager, presented status reports and also highlighted some of the major projects that have recently been confirmed.
This includes the MAP Gateway, set to be developed next to the University of the Free State’s Qwaqwa Campus.
He also touched upon the megacity project that will join the towns of Kestell, Harrismith, and Qwaqwa.
Furthermore, Mothamaha included the establishment of the Central University of Technology (CUT) in MAP.
In conclusion, he announced a neighbourhood grant to improve all three towns.
