Some opposition parties are desperately clinging to the past, says Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela.

Whilst responding to the recent State of the Province Address (SOPA) debate, Ntombela expressed her dissatisfaction at some opposition parties who used the Sopa debate to try to score cheap political points.

She said that opposition parties keep on criticising the governing party without offering any solutions to problems that are the results of a horrible past where the will of people was suppressed. She said that she was mostly disappointed by young people who were shouting from opposition benches, criticising without giving solutions.

Ntombela said she was, however, not surprised by what transpired during the Sopa. She said that they are now focused on emancipating women and youth in the province. Ntombela further said that the time has come to return the land to the masses within the province.
