FS premier bids accident victims farewell─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 12:43 Mon, 07 Mar 2022
The Free State Premier bid four teachers farewell over the weekend, as well as one School Governing Body (SGB) member, and one cleaner from the Sekoko Primary School, after they lost their lives in a horrific car accident.
Ntombela was accompanied by Free State Education MEC, Tate Makgoe, and Health MEC, Montseng Tsiu. She said that the Free State Government has been robbed of its children who they relied upon to shape the future of the new generation, while family members of the deceased have been robbed of their providers.
OFM News reported that the deceased lost their lives after a 22-seater Mercedes Benz Sprinter minibus taxi overturned on the N5 road about six kilometres from Bethlehem.
Meanwhile, Ntombela said that the memory of the deceased will forever dwell in the hearts of the Sekoko Primary school pupils and staff, including the Free State as a whole.
“I do know that we will recover from this tragedy. That is who we are as the people of the Free State province - we fall, dust ourselves off, and get on with our lives. We are definitely never going to forget the deceased,” she said.
