#BreakingNews: Truck burning near Koppies, N1 closed─── 09:14 Thu, 10 Mar 2022
A diesel tanker is burning next to the N1 road, 5 kilometres from the Koppies off-ramp.
Motorists travelling north on the N1 are requested to divert to Parys from Kroonstad, and those travelling south from Johannesburg on the N1, heading to Kroonstad, should also divert to Parys. The police reportedly just arrived at the scene. The scene is being cleaned and safeguarded.
The road is expected to be cleared and reopen again by 10:00 on Thursday morning.
This is a developing story.
