Investigators of these law enforcement agencies are currently doing a search at the house of the two suspects, who are staying together. OFM News’ correspondent, Benjamin Tshabile, spoke to the SIU's spokesperson, Kaizer Kganyago.

He says the latest arrests form part of a national investigation into the National Lotteries Commission.

"The allegation is that the officials have runners outside who go and approach different NPOs in the province, and then ask them to apply for funding from the Lotteries Commission. Once that is done, they receive 30% of that - the officials together with this runner. It's each and every transaction where they have facilitated the NPO's to be given the funding, from which they get 30% of that amount in cash. And that is why we felt it is important not to request for this information because people will destroy the information, but to come personally and collect this information, and go the the houses of these officials to make sure that we get all the evidence that we need for the purposes of this investigation.
