According to an eyewitness, the road is closed in both directions. It seems one person has passed away in the accident while a few other people have been injured.

The eyewitness explains all emergency services, including authorities, are on the scene assisting.

“Traffic is now backed up at the moment on both sides – north and south. The problem is that as the authorities let traffic through, people still want to look out their windows and watch and see what is happening on the side of the road. I think that is why they decided to just close the road completely.”

According to VR Med Emergency Medical Services, currently on the accident scene, one lane is obstructed, allowing traffic to flow.
