OFM News previously reported the SABC's news division in Bloemfontein announced the death of the 48-year-old Katsande, after Katsande died due to heart complications on Friday in a hospital in Pretoria.

Katsande also hosted a reggae show and current affairs programme at Lesedi FM. According to a statement issued by the SABC in Bloemfontein, he had been with the SABC for almost seven years. 

The deceased is expected to be laid to rest in his hometown Qwaqwa this coming weekend.
