Bloem Water together with the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) will celebrate World Water Day with a media engagement in Bloemfontein.

Bloem Water’s Kido Thoabala explains in a media statement that the purpose of the interaction is to explain how the department and its entities work in unison to provide much-needed essential services to communities.

The celebration comes on the heels of Mangaung residents' struggle with dry taps due to a water pipeline burst at Welbedacht Dam.

DA Councillor, Rossouw Botes previously explained to OFM News that it seems the pipe burst at exactly the same spot where the municipality had been working on the pipeline last week and over the weekend.
