Free State Premier to respond to irate residents─── LUCKY NKUYANE 07:15 Tue, 12 Apr 2022
Free State Premier, Sisi Ntombela, is on Tuesday expected to respond to and address concerns of residents during her 2022/23 budget speech.
Her speech comes mere days after President Cyril Ramaphosa's presidential Imbizo was held in Mangaung.
Irate residents accused Ntombela, MECs and Mayors of blatantly ignoring their calls for better service delivery, quality supply of water and adequate housing.
Disgruntled residents like Mpho Mojanaga told Ramaphosa this weekend that Ntombela, along with other MECs, have been ignoring their calls for clean and better governance in the Metro.

"There is no leadership at the political level, there is no leadership at administrative level in Mangaung. What we have is associates, family members, we have any other friends who are occupying the positions of power," he adds.
He says leaders who are in top positions are creating positions for their friends and family members.
"What is said in Mangaung, is that our sisters have been sexually abused. Today a leader impregnates a lady, and that lady gets a job at Mangaung so that the child could be taken care of by the Metro. This happens whilst we do not have roads," Mojanaga adds.
Meanwhile, on Facebook, Ntombela revealed that following the Presidential Imbizo she convened a team of senior managers.
"Following robust and frank discussions with our people in the Presidential Imbizo in Mangaung on Saturday 9 April 2022, and various Pre-Imbizos held throughout the province, it is evident that there is still a lot to be done.
"We are developing a programme with clear objectives and solutions with clear timelines. Without revealing too much, my speech will address a wide rage of issues, amongst others: economic growth and development, job creation, skills development, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment programmes, fight against GBV, clean governance, etc," Ntombela wrote.
