Case against Northern Cape rape accused postponed─── 14:42 Mon, 25 Apr 2022

The rape and murder case of 11-year-old Relebogile Segami has been postponed to 19 May 2022.
This follows after the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) decided to join two rape cases against the 24-year old suspect.
Segami’s body was found dumped in the veld just behind the Northern Cape Legislature a few weeks ago.

According to NPA spokesperson Mojalefa Senokoatsane, the accused was out on bail at the time.

Meanwhile, Relebogile’s father Kagisho Segami, has denied claims that the father of the accused offered him a R50 000 bribe to drop the charges.

This comes after a voice clip went viral regarding the alleged bribery.
