A young lioness is on the loose after escaping her enclosure inside a game range at Vrede in the Free State.
According to the Free State police spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring, three young lionesses have escaped their enclosure on Friday. Two were successfully captured.
He says the game ranch is regularly updating Nature Conservation and the police about the process of recapturing the third lioness.
Mophiring adds that the lion is still on the farm premises and there is no need to panic.
Meanwhile, an official at the game ranch confirmed the situation to OFM News, that indeed two of the lions were successfully recaptured and they are on the trail of the third. She said the situation is under their control.
