The South African tourists that were previously reported missing in the Fish River Canyon, Namibia, have been found.

A broadcast journalist from Future Media News in Namibia, Angie Scholtz, informed OFM News that the four that were missing have been accounted for. Scholtz received the information from the Namibian Police in the Karas region, that the tourists, including South Africans Trevor and Samantha Burger, made it safely to the arrival point, unharmed.

This follows after Jacaranda News previously reported ten tourists sent out a distress call on Saturday when they could not find their way out of the canyon. Six were able to make it out on their own, while the four were still missing.

A helicopter, together with a ground search-and-rescue operation, began on Saturday with the attempt to rescue the missing four.
