Taxi operators take a stand against school violence─── 12:32 Thu, 26 May 2022
Taxi operators from the Vereeniging taxi rank are reportedly patrolling outside General Smuts High school in Vereeniging.
This, after members of a gang allegedly attempted to harass learners.
Taxi operators reportedly descended on the school after members of an unknown gang arrived yesterday at the school, in support of learners who are allegedly affiliated to their gang.
This happened at the same time when parents were protesting outside the school, demanding that 30 particular learners who are alleged gang members be expelled for bullying other learners.
Parents have been protesting against violence at the said school since Monday.
