The Free State Provincial government has been challenged to play a more pivotal role in developing small businesses, to help boost the local economy.
One of the ANC officials who was also a guest speaker at the ANC Interim Provincial Committee (IPC) economic summit held in Bloemfontein, Tefetso Phitsane, highlighted the shortcomings of the government's involvement in the development of the economy.
