This follows after the municipality and Eskom in the Sedibeng region reached a settlement.

Eskom imposed an electricity curtailment on the municipality as a credit control measure.

Following this step by Eskom, most parts of the Vaal Triangle experienced power and water supply interruptions since last week Thursday.

Water supply is expected to be fully restored in all affected areas.

In an interview with OFM News today, municipal spokesperson Makhosonke Sangweni urged residents not to panic, and to pay for the services they receive.
