Search launched for missing 5-year-old Northern Cape boy─── 14:36 Thu, 02 Jun 2022
Northern Cape police in Upington are appealing to the public to assist in finding a missing 5-year-old boy.
It is reported that Le-Virno van Wyk from Louisvaleweg was last seen on May 31 and reported missing yesterday.
SAPS spokesperson Omphile Masigela tells OFM News Van Wyk was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, mustard pants, and black boots when went missing.
“The boy was last seen playing with his friends around the area of Skierlik, where they are residing. The police are currently busy searching around the area, together with the community. Anyone with information can contact the investigating officer Sergeant Lebogang Mokwene on 082 330 4478.” Masigela says.
She adds during National Child Protection Week everyone should be cautious and report any suspicious activities.
Furthermore, she says there is no waiting period to report a missing person.
