In the latest incident a teacher died in an accident en route to Litchenburg from Agisanang near Sannieshof.

This follows after a teacher from Rutanang Primary was shot and killed outside the school in Rustenburg last week Tuesday

Two Grade R leaners also passed away last week on Wednesday when their private taxi lost control on the way to Bloemhof.

North West police spokesperson Afjee Botma tells OFM News that the latest incident happened near Biesiesvlei.

She says a light sedan was trying to overtake a truck.

When the driver saw oncoming traffic she tried to revert back to her lane and collided with the truck.

Botma adds one person in the sedan passed away as well as one in the truck, while three other people were taken to hospital.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.

Meanwhile, North West department of Education spokesperson Ellias Malindi confirmed the incident to OFM News, saying last week had been a very hard week for the Department.

Malindi says the educator is said to have been from Agisanang near Sannieshof.
