Ria Ledwaba supported by ANC Women's League in North West─── 12:49 Mon, 20 Jun 2022
The ANC Women's League (ANCWL) in North West has become the latest organisation to pledge support for Ria Ledwaba, who is running for the South African Football Association's (SAFA) presidency seat.
This Saturday, SAFA's regional delegates will vote to elect the next president.
Ledwaba, who is the vice-president, is competing against the current president, Danny Jordaan, and Tshwane regional president, Solly Mohlabeng.
OFM News learnt that NotInMyName International has also shown support for Ledwaba. Two weeks ago they held a gala dinner to lobby support for her.
NotInMyName general secretary, Themba Masango, says they call on every loving supporter to rally behind Ledwaba as she is the right candidate to bring changes.

North West's ANCWL acting secretary, Bitsa Lenkopane, told OFM News that Ledwaba's leadership will help stir women's football for better growth, including grassroots football development in rural areas. Lenkopane says they call all those who will participate in the votes to cast for her in a call for change.
Ledwaba has been in football for more than three decades, and she is remembered for owning Ria Stars back in the late 90s.
Former professional players such as Lucas Radebe, Sipho Nzuzo, Thapelo Liau, and former premier soccer league referee Andile Ngcobo are also supporting Ledwaba.
Should Ledwaba emerge as president of SAFA, this will make her the first female to lead the association.
