#CurrieCupFinal: Northern Cape Heat back the Griquas all the way─── MORGAN PIEK 10:22 Tue, 21 Jun 2022
The Division 2 4-day cricket champions, the Northern Cape Heat, have wished the Griquas all of the best for this week's big Currie Cup final against the Pumas in Kimberley.
Earlier in the year, the Heat won silverware for the Northern Cape for the first time in more than 20 years by winning the 2nd Division in South Africa’s first-class competition.
Mark Charlton was in charge of the team for the first time this past season, very much like Pieter Bergh who took the Griquas to the final of the world’s oldest domestic competition in his first season as the head coach.
Charlton told OFM News that they back the Griquas all the way.
Saturday’s big final between the Griquas and Pumas kicks off at 15:00. More on the Griquas lead-up to the final in the 16:30 sport bulletin.
