Dialogue to help Northern Cape crime victims get closure─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 08:23 Wed, 29 Jun 2022
The Deputy Minister of Justice and Correctional Services is set to address issues relating to the way members of the community view and treat perpetrators of the law.
Deputy Minister Nkosi Holomisa will on Wednesday lead a Victim-Offender Dialogue (VOD) in Kuruman in the Northern Cape.
According to a statement issued, the Department aims to rebuild and nurture relationships between victims, families of the victims, community, society at large and perpetrators.
Holomisa says this process allows victims or their families to come face-to-face with perpetrators and ask them detailed questions on crimes that they have committed - either against them or their loved ones. The session will take place in Thabo Moorosi Hall at 14:00.
Holomisa is expected to visit Ba'One Intellectual Disability Center to hand out revamped amenities before attending the VOD.
