Guesthouses crippled without water─── HEIDRÈ MALGAS 16:42 Thu, 07 Jul 2022

Residents of the troubled Mangaung Municipality in Vallombrosa and Roodewal are reeling from the effects of a water crisis which has affected several hospitality businesses in that area.
Residents and businesses in the area have had no water for at least 24 hours, due to a pipe that has reportedly burst again since being repaired during the Easter weekend.
DA Ward 47 councilor, Mokgadi Kganakga, tells OFM News she received complaints from residents and business owners in the Roodewal area.

She added that the pipe in question previously took five days to repair.
Kganakga added she had informed the relevant authorities at the municipality, but has had no luck with a response.
“By the end of Wednesday, there was no team on sight and the area’s water had been turned off due to the pipe leak; the main problem is that there are a number of guesthouses in the area and they are fully booked,” Kganakga concluded.
