Bloem Water cautions about possible job scam─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 08:45 Thu, 14 Jul 2022
The Free State water utility, Bloem Water, has cautioned against fraudsters who scam desperate job seekers by deceiving them into paying a fee to be processed and considered for job applications.
According to Bloem Water spokesperson, Kido Thoabala, the fraudsters have placed the company's name in disrepute by requesting people to cough up a fee of R3000 to secure employment at Bloem Water. She says a victim from Botshabelo contacted Bloem Water, whereafter the matter was reported to the South African Police Services (SAPS).
Thoabala says the company will never solicit money from job seekers to secure employment and will not hesitate to report perpetrators of these heinous acts to the police.
In her statement, Thoabala urged the public not to be caught up in job scamming traps. She adds that there are no vacancies advertised by Bloem Water currently and that the company advertises vacancies in a professional manner at all times and at no cost to applicants, through conventional media platforms such as websites and local and provincial newspapers.
Thoabala further encouraged the public to report such activities through Bloem Water’s hotline 080-202-8882 or contact their nearest police station.
