Two men are expected to appear in the Kuruman Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. The men aged 28 and 32 were arrested for robbing a retail store.
The Northern Cape’s Hawks spokesperson, Tebogo Thebe, told OFM News that they are investigating a case of business burglary. He further said a Nissan NP200 bakkie was seized as it is believed to have been used in the commission of the crime.
“A known retailer was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money. Police officers, through the investigation, followed up and recovered 135 cell phones, 29 cellphone chargers, 27 USB chargers, and 20 headphones. Those people are expected to appear in the Kuruman Magistrate’s Court today.”
The burglary reportedly happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Preliminary investigations indicated that suspects entered the retail store through the roof and opened the safe with a grinder.
