Health Department lauds female cleaners─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 07:00 Fri, 12 Aug 2022
The Free State MEC for Health has sent a message of appreciation to women in the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
This after EPWP workers cleaned the yard of the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein on Thursday.
Tsiu stated that most of the cleaners involved in the EPWP programme are women and they should be appreciated for taking a work opportunity that helps them feed their families. She alluded to the fact that every opportunity counts and changes lives.

The hospital has recently been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Earlier this year the healthcare facility had stirred up serious concerns from workers due to spillages that could be seen and smelled just outside the mortuary of the hospital.
Meanwhile, Tsiu applauded EPWP workers for keeping the hospital yard clean. She concluded by advocating for equal pay opportunities.
