The Mangaung Metro Municipality in Bloemfontein has issued another warning of possible water cuts as a result of maintenance by Bloem Water.
Metro spokesperson Qondile Khedama says maintenance of the Rustfontein and Welbedacht supply systems will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
He adds this forms part of the entity's scheduled winter maintenance programme to ensure the metro always provides quality water to the Mangaung community.
He also says that during these operations, there could be shutdowns and restrictions of water supply to communities such as Bainsvlei, Bergman Square, Bloemdale, Bloemanda, Bochabela, Dewet Park, Fauna, Pellissier and Langenhoven Park, among others.
Khedama requested that residents, schools, businesses and other consumers in affected areas of Mangaung should make the necessary arrangements and store water for cooking, cleaning, and washing during this period.
He further said that water tanks will also be placed at various points during the shutdown, adding consumers should use water sparingly.
