Old Mutual, in partnership with the Northern Cape Department of Education, visited the Thabane High School on Friday 23 September 2022.

Old Mutual’s Northern Cape Management Board chairperson, Vicus Kammies, says various schools in Galeshewe were invited to this programme called the "Old Mutual Roadshow". He says the purpose of the visit was to identify the needs of learners and provide support, as they aim to ensure that no learner will miss teaching and learning due to the lack of sufficient resources.

“The main intention is to create an open platform where we can engage communities on the work we do, around education and our robust humanitarian programmes - this, through an investment of over R3 million. This programme has been extended by an additional five years”.

Kammies adds that the initiative is not only for learners, but aims to support parents, teachers and other stakeholders involved in teaching and learning. He further explains that this initiative is a nationwide campaign as they emphasise the importance of education to learners.
