Placement applications open for unplaced learners─── BAMBATHA GIKO 14:51 Tue, 01 Nov 2022
The Northern Cape Department of Education has reopened the admission process for learners who did not receive placements from 23 May to 20 June 2022.
Media Liaison Officer to the MEC, Geoffrey van der Merwe, says the department aims to finalise outstanding placements before the end of the school year. The online admission system for late applications will be open from 1 to 11 November; applications remain restricted for Grades R, 1 and 8. All other grades can register at schools.
Parents who still need to apply may log on to the Online Learner Admissions website at www.ncdoeadmissions.org and follow the instructions. Van der Merwe adds that the department has identified walk-in centres per district for applications.
Late applications will only be allowed to schools that can accommodate them. Parents will receive a placement sms when the online application is completed.
