North West officer bags Top 2 spot in Idols SA─── HEIDRÈ MALGAS 11:14 Tue, 08 Nov 2022

The Warrant Officer from Brits in the North West has shown that his singing talent goes above and beyond after bagging the Top 2 spot in the Idols South Africa competition.
A psychologist at the South African Police Service (SAPS) Employee Health, Thapelo Molomo, made headlines after he secured a spot in the Top 2 of Idols on Sunday.
OFM News previously reported that Molomo said that he decided to enter the competition this year because he felt psychologically ready, because Idols is such a big production and national competition, it comes with a lot of pressure and criticism, so he had to prepare himself psychologically.

Molomo says being in the Top 2 is such a beautiful feeling. He says he is thankful to God and he appreciates all his fans. He explains it is a truly humbling experience.
“I want to encourage all the fans to keep on voting, because I have done my part at this point and there is nothing more to do with the performances. This coming Sunday's performance does not count, the winner would be known already, so this Sunday is just to enjoy the stage for the very last time,” he said.
He added that he stays motivated by meditating and motivating himself - by speaking to himself, encouraging him that he can do this and that he needs to trust in himself.
“I would not do anything different in the final, because the final is a day to have fun, because there is no more voting on the day,” Molomo said.
He added that after idols he is planning to continue pursuing his music, connect with his fans and host workshops to motivate upcoming artists and talk to them about his experience with Idols.
Voting for your favourite of the Top 2 contestants in the Idols competition closes at 22:00 this Thursday 10 November 2022. To vote for Thapelo, SMS 2 to 37400, R1.50 per sms.
