Ambulance with pregnant patient overturns in Free State─── TSHEHLA KOTELI 16:38 Wed, 16 Nov 2022

A full-term pregnant woman is currently in the Boitumelo Hospital in Kroonstad after the ambulance she was in overturned on the R76 road on Wednesday afternoon 16 November 2022.
According to the Free State spokesperson for Health, Mondli Mvambi, the patient was being transported to Kroonstad from Steynsrus.
It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle while travelling on a stretch of road that was under construction. Mvambi says it is suspected that water on the road could be the reason for the accident.
The patient suffered head injuries and may be transferred to a hospital in Bloemfontein after being stabilised for specialised care.
