During the incident, three men were shot; two of them, aged between 30 and 35, passed away on the scene.

Police spokesperson Adele Myburgh says a third victim, the business owner was admitted to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The owner’s wife was hit with a bottle during the ordeal. She was released from the hospital shortly after being admitted.

The suspects robbed the tavern of an undisclosed amount of cash.
