Power restored to parts of Mangaung─── LUCKY NKUYANE 10:48 Sun, 04 Dec 2022
The Bloemfontein-based Mangaung Metro municipality’s power utility Centlec, reports that it has since managed to restore power to areas which were plunged into darkness following a power trip at its Spitskop feeder on Friday, 2 December.

However, Centlec spokesperson, Lele Mamatu, tells OFM News that they are attending to individual complaints.
He says there has been another trip at Arcadia which has since affected Kenilworth, Oranje, and Sophieshoogte. The estimated restoration time is two hours.
On Saturday, 3 December, Mamatu said the Spitskop feeder tripped which caused power loss in Langenhoven Park, Bainsvlei and Limousine.
“I can confirm that we are experiencing [power outages] in a number of areas in the city, and this has been from yesterday (Friday 1 December 2022).
"As a result, we have dispatched a [team] including electricians to attend to the areas that are affected...,” Mamatu added.
Some parts had been without power for at least 30 hours.
